Drug Uses
Naprosyn is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, juvenile arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendonitis and bursitis, and acute gout. It is also used for the relief of mild to moderate pain, and for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Naprosyn Suspension is recommended for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for obtaining the maximum dosage flexibility based on the patient's weight.

How Taken
Naprosyn comes as a regular tablet, an extended release tablet, and a liquid to take in orally. To avoid upset stomach, it is advised to take Naprosyn with a meal or with a glass of milk. The general dosage for treating arthritis is twice a day. For treatment of gout take regular tablets with an 8 hour interval between the doses. For relief of pain take an extended release tablet once a day or regular tablets every 6–8 hours.

Missed Dose
If Naprosyn is taken on a regular schedule, take the Missed Dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and take the next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose. If Naprosyn is taken as needed, take the Missed Dose if it is needed.

More Information
It is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and sun lamps, tanning beds, and treatments with UVA or UVB light, as Naprosyn may make your skin more sensitive to the sunlight. You should wear protective clothing and use sunscreen. Avoid taking alcohol as combined with Naprosyn it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Do not take any other medications with Naprosyn without your doctor`s approval. Be careful when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities, as Naprosyn may cause dizziness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities

Storage
Naprosyn suspension should be stored at room temperature, avoid temperature above 40°C (104°F). Naprosyn tablets should be stored at room temperature and in tightly closed containers, Keep away from children and excess heat, light and moisture (not in the bathroom or near radiator).
